Castor oil pack too much?
My child was having kibble like poop when I started the magnesium which caused her to either have loose stools or kibble or both. Castor oil packing alone seems to be giving her too loose as well. She does 1-2 hours a day. Can it be too much? She eats a good amount of fiber and has been hydrating. I want her on magnesium but am worried it will be too much water lost

And... it could be that part of normalizing her bowel movements is getting old feces out of the colon and that this will normalize on its own, per her body coming into balance.
My question is why do you want her on magnesium? You may want the goal to be for her to eat her fiber rich diet, whole healthy foods and pooping (eventually) on her own, without magnesium or other supports!
I would still be using the castor oil pack 1-4 times per week, as this will moisturize the bowels, remove old stuck stuff and support normal bowel movements (and the liver and gall bladder, keys to detoxification).
Actually, after I wrote that, I had another thought.
It could be the castor oil pack is moving toxins out of the liver and gall bladder and through the bowels. Again, this should normalize when you get the 'backlog' of toxins moving out of the bile ducts. The ideal is to have a balance of the entire digestive system so that food is the only thing that will induce pooping.
It has only been about a Week that we have been using the castor oil. How long does it take the liver and gall bladder to detox? I just bought her the bioray calm a couple days ago which seems to be helping her angry disposition. She is a 35 pound child with minimal verbal skills a history of hypotonia and is also currently experiencing rectal prolapse
