Thank you for all this wonderful information. It has been helpful. We have been eating a pretty healthy diet and have been working on my son's gut for a while. Last time we checked it was all doing well. Our son is 6 years old and is small for his age as he has Down Syndrome. He was finally potty trained last month (whoo hoo!) then he started messing his pants at odd times and never told us he had to go. From your teaching we realized that when we started using the big potty to sit on, he was bending in half to go potty (trying not to fall in!) causing the constipation. Then he didn't even know when he was messing his pants. He is better now that we have changed potty positions. Thank you!
